I have completed a 250 hour yoga teacher training with Carl Faure and Calli Popham at the brilliant Stretch Studio in Hackney.

Whilst i don’t teach regularly any more, I do get a lot of joy from teaching when the opportunity arises. I am passionate about movement in various forms and music (of course), and I like to think I’ve developed a style of teaching that is unique and authentic to me — and of course heavily inspired by my teachers.

Friends, hit me up if you want to practice together!

THE FIVE PRINCIPLES OF MY PRACTICE:

FREEDOM: I'm not too prescriptive. I like to leave space in sessions for yogis to explore their own bodies, feeling into the movements that are right for them, and finding what they need in the moment. I don't want to teach people how to make shapes, I want to help people become more embodied.

PLAY: Yoga is not a competition, and levity is one of the best ways to create an inclusive environment where everybody feels comfortable in their bodies. And it's much more enjoyable and rewarding to practice with a smile on our faces and the occasional giggle.

STRENGTH: Yoga helps us develop strength in our bodies (and minds). I like to put a particular emphasis on functional strength with longer holds and balances. This is not strength for big muscles and looking good, this is strength to help us move better and get more out of our bodies.

CREATIVITY: My yoga is inspired by my passion for dance. I like to find moments of flow in a session, getting out of our pre frontal cortex - our thinking and processing mind. I find that we achieve this when we are moving creatively and intuitively.

CALM: Many people are drawn to yoga because it helps us down regulate our nervous systems, which is what we need in our modern lives of chronic stress from pace, pressure and pollution. My classes aim to be physically challenging and sweaty, yet with a slow, calm and supportive energy.
