In 2008 I Cofounded Mixcloud with Nico, Mat and Sam. Over the years we’ve build an incredible team, community and platform.

Mixcloud is the global community for audio culture. It has a powerful set of tools for DJs and music creators to connect with their listeners. We built a safe, fully licensed platform for live video streaming, on-demand audio streaming and archiving, audience building tools and a monetization program with Mixcloud Select.

We worked hard to change the game in the music industry, gaining unique licenses so that all the artists that are played, get paid. And the uploaders who make the shows know that their content is safe on the platform.

We even launched a brand x culture agency within Mixcloud called LOUD with founding partners Ben and Kazim, which helped brands work more closely with the people leading culture on the ground via our community. We did brilliant work with brands like adidas, Dr Martens, Sonos, Red Bull, Shure, W Hotels and many more.

I bought my first set of turntables when I was 15 years old. I watched videotapes of DJs like Craze, Cutmaster Swift and A-Trak on repeat, learning to scratch, cut and mix. And then I went on to fall in love with club culture, digging for disco and house music, and throwing parties all over the city of London and beyond. This makes me incredibly proud and blessed to have been able to spend more than a decade working on something I love, serving a culture I deeply care about.
